Dr. Guha joins us from California where he worked at the Buck Institute studying oxidative stress signaling in worms under Dr. Pankaj Kapahi. He was recruited here for a project studying age-dependent mitochondrial phenotypes in a novel single-copy transgenic worm model expressing either wild type Tau or mutant Tau with AD-relevant, PTM-mimetics introduced through CRISPR-Cas9 gene editing. This is a collaborative project that was recently funded with Dr. Gail VW Johnson in Anesthesiology. Welcome!
