I’d also like to welcome Nadia Mercato to NehrkeLab. She will be taking the reins from Ally and Molly, and will work with us this summer utilizing optogenetic approaches to study worm behavior, as well as participating in an NSF-funded Graduate Education in Biomedical Sciences Summer Scholars program. Ms. Mercato is a Gates Millenium Scholar and a hip-hop dance artist, and has offered to instruct members of the lab. Should make for some fun BBQs this summer!!
