Bruno is visiting NehrkeLab from Brazil, where he is currently working on his Ph.D. under the tutelage of Dr. Alicia Kowaltowski at Universidade de São Paulo. He will spend the next several months studying the effect of CO2 on ischemic damage in worms. We just found out (8/2) that Bruno has been awarded a fellowship from PABMB/ASBMB-Promoting Research Opportunities for Latin American Biochemists (PROLAB) to help support his dissertation research and training while in the US.
